The American Meteorological Society Oral History Project (AMSOHP) aims to capture the history of the atmospheric sciences as told by scientists, administrators, and others working in field. The collection is especially rich in interviews that capture the memories of scientists who launched much of the innovative meteorological research in post-war America.

The UCAR/ NCAR Subject File Collection consists of materials dated from the 1960s to the 2000s that cover topics in meteorology and the atmospheric sciences, as well as information about individual scientists. The collection includes curriculum vitae, researcher bios, fact sheets, correspondence, memoranda, press releases, reports, manuscript drafts, interviews, articles, clippings, education materials, photographs, slides, publications, awards, notes, and ephemera.

The Aviation Cadets Collection contains photocopies of publications, photographs, and audio related to the work of the Aviation Cadets during World War II. The invitation, program, handwritten notes, and clippings related to the 50th reunion are also included in this collection.

The UCAR Records contain materials that document UCAR and NCAR. The collection traces the founding of UCAR from an idea to the birth of a national center. It also documents the merger of the High Altitude Observatory (HAO) with NCAR, the international scope of UCAR/NCAR, the relationship between UCAR and Member Universities, and the relationship of UCAR and the NSF.
