The 50th Anniversary celebration for UCAR/NCAR occured in 2010. A time capsule project, lead by the NCAR Archives and UCAR Communications, collected over 90 items that provide a snapshot of life at UCAR/NCAR in the year 2010. The collection includes a variety of ephemera and also digital files.

This collection contains various momentos, artifacts, and notes from UCAR/NCAR activities and projects such as T-shirts, a frisbee from field project, buttons, stickers, aggregate used in Mesa Laboratory, UCAR/NCAR anniversaries, and the musical score.

This collection consists of materials from the NCAR Information Office. The collection contains press releases, article reprints, research notes, clippings, brochures, films and audio recordings, slides, background materials used by Information Office staff to perform their job functions, planning documents and records documenting the 20th and 25th anniversaries of NCAR, records covering the functions of the Information Office, and several files that detail NCAR research and science.
